Red Bull unEversE

Information

The Red Bull unEversE was the opening event for the Red Bull Gaming World. Red Bull set up their own little Gaming World in the Verkehrshaus Lucerne which is increadible. At the unEversE event, there were 2 professional League of Legends players from Team Vitality that competed against each other with Swiss Teams. My team was playing for Jiizuke for the red team, whereas Lausanne Esports played for the blue team for Attila. All we did there in the end was basically a showmatch against Lausanne Esports.

Story

It was a saturday morning and I started my car to drive to Lucerne. I arrived at the Verkehrshaus and first didn't really know where to go, because my phone was out of battery so I couldn't message anyone. I ended up asking someone at the info panel to show me the way to the Red Bull event. It was simply going up the escalator and you're in the middle of a true gaming world. First step was taking some picutres in front of a greenscreen to show them later on stream. After that we had enough time to set up everything we need on the PCs and even do 2 matches against the Lausanne trio for warming up. It's probably the best feeling I had in a long time at an offline event. I felt just like home. We spent some time there playing, but had to leave to let the Swiss League of Legends players set up. Team Helix and Team mYinsanity were there.

We spent some time in the players area talking to the awesome casters Digital Bacon and Eternal Jay. It's always cool to have a chat with them. The group picture was a bit of a mess, because no one knew where to stay, but in the end everything worked out and the stream started on time. First up was Attila against Jiizuke in the Swiss game Retimed. Attila had a good start and decided the first game title in favour of him. Next up was Rocket League. We entered the lobby and started to play. Our goal was to have some fun because it was a showmatch, but we still tried to win in the end. Lausanne showed a very performance in the first few games, but we were able to secure the victory with a 4-2.

After the series, we were able to watch the upcoming games in the planetarium or test some other games. I had a good time with the guys from Rocket League and really enjoyed it there. At the end of the day the red team won, but it was still a pleasure to play there and be part of a cool event.
